The UK National Lottery run by Camelot is another charity lottery and donates some profits to charities throughout the United Kingdom. There are larger cash
prizes to be won from these lottery players though. For example in November 2009 two British players won an incredible £90 million between them after playing the
Euromillions draw. Each player received £45,570,834 from the winning numbers 11 19 34 43 and 45. The lucky star numbers for this lottery draw were 5 and 9.
The two winners of the Euromillions Draw were announced on the Monday. They were Les Scadding from Newport in from South Wales who bought two lucky dips to the Euromillions Draw after forgetting to take his usual numbers to the lottery to Tesco. The other winner of Euromillions Draw was a seven member syndicate based in Merseyside where they worked for Hewlett Packard performing IT work for a BT office in Liverpool. Media sources named these Euromillions Draw winners as John Walsh, James Bennett, Sean Connor, Alex Parry, Emma Cartwright, Ceri Scullion and Donna Rhodes. They nicknamed themselves the Magnificent Seven and they each won £6.5 million.
The previous largest UK lottery win was won by Angela Kelly from Glasgow who won £35.4 million on Euro Millions draw in August 2008.
The largest European winner of Euromillions draw was Dolores McNamara from Ireland who won £77 million in July 2005.
