While there is no secret formula to winning competitions I'll explain what resources I use. Generally
I get three prizes a week. I like to get my entries in as early as possible to ensure they
are in the draw bag. Some people leave theirs as late as possible but some close earlier than the described closing date, particularly those on the internet. Never be
tempted to cheat by filling in multiple entries nor doing them for other family
members. This will lead to automatic disqualification if caught: and many sites have specialised
software to monitor such cheating.
Do ensure you comply with the site rules and regulations and fill out the entry form out correctly. An online
automatic form filler like Roboform is handy to help you do this quickly.
I am selling Borntoloaf.co.uk at
eBay due to ill health. This is a rare chance to buy a 10 character domain name that has been live since 2002 and the current bid is low.
I can also transfer the live www.borntoloaf.co.uk files on the ftp hosting upon request and the host company provides great support if needed.
Thank you all for the fun we have had over the years, especially running the Born To Loaf competitions where I have given away cash prizes and branded merchandise. It would be great if a Borntoloafer took over the site.
A fun way to try and win money prizes is to do the daily Free Lotteries.
Competition postcards can be obtained from some cinemas and coffee shops and other retail outlets. They usually have an advert from a sponsor on one side
and the other side has room for your entry answer and contact details with space for the address. Some sellers on ebay bulk sell them specifically aimed at compers. Their
listing usually include a photo. Do ensure with the seller that they are unused and not sold for their collecting interest. Some believe that by using bright and interesting
looking ones their entry is more likely to be picked from the hat. There could be some truth in this because many organisers ask a third party to pull a postcard from the
mailbag. In some cases they ask children to do this to add a bit of fun. The kids may be more likely to choose a brightly coloured one.
Other people who analysis how to win internet and postcard competitions think that if you cut a serrated edge onto your entry postcards with special crimping scissors
this brings more luck. This could be because some organisers put their hand into the mail bag without looking and an unusually feeling one is more interesting to pull out.

I sometimes make extra cash by selling unwanted prizes (usually the runners up prizes
as I don't enter them unless I really want the prize) on the auction sites listed at the
auction websites page where you can read more tips and information.
www.borntoloaf.co.uk celebrated its eight birthday in August 2010. Since 2002 borntoloaf.co.uk have been entertaining, helping users make money or save money and teaching
people. We celebrated one birthday with a writing competition and here is one entry which one user sent in the form of this lovely poem:
Dear Chris, I had to write to you,
to tell you what I think.
Since I joined your brilliant site,
Well, I've been tickled pink!
There are lots of competitions,
(Hey, I've even won a few!),
advice on mystery shopping,
how to earn a bob or two!
I've used a lot of discount codes,
and saved both time and cash.
I have you on my favourites list,
so I can find you in a flash!
I've sent for lots of free goods,
played bingo games for free,
I've even tried your recipes,
you're such a help to me!
I love your sense of humour,
you always make me smile.
The advice you give is excellent
and delivered in such style!
What makes the website special?
Why is Borntoloaf the best?
It's what you do that makes it
so much better than the rest!

Compers Update specialise in finding you short life ones and research the correct answers. These are usually low entry so you have a greater chance. They add these
each week, with a printed monthly newsletter which contains even more to enter along with advice.
Their tracker helps you to remember which you have entered so that you do not make multiple entries which can be against rules and regulations.
All new subscribers get automatic entry to their prize draw for a car.
Use a search engine to write your name and see if you're on a competition winners list.
